👩🏫 Meet the Owner – Nazish Nasir Khan
Owner & Director of Childcare Programs
With about 5 years of experience in Saskatchewan’s childcare industry and more than a decade of international teaching and early years education experience, Nazish Nasir Khan is the heart behind Little Horizons. Her professional journey includes working as a Kindergarten Teacher, a Childcare Supervisor in licensed group settings, and a passionate advocate for inclusive, child-centered care.
Nazish holds an ECE Level 1 Certification, First Aid & CPR/AED Level C, and a Bachelor of Arts degree. She’s known for her gentle approach, attention to individual developmental needs, and a firm commitment to providing high-quality early childhood education. Her philosophy is grounded in compassion, structure, and creating a space where every child feels seen, heard, and loved.
👨💼 Muhammad Nasir Khan
Strategic Advisor, Educational Programs & Compliance
Nazish is supported by her husband, Muhammad Nasir Khan, who serves as Strategic Advisor for Educational Programs & Compliance.
Muhammad is certified ECE Level 1 and brings a distinguished background in education and leadership. He holds a Master’s degree in Educational Administration from the University of Saskatchewan and an MBA, complemented by extensive international experience in training, development, and governance.
While his presence is scheduled for alternate or backup care, his advisory role focuses on program quality, compliance readiness, and long-term strategic planning. His insight and expertise enrich the educational quality of our programs and support our commitment to excellence, safety, and responsive care.

As part of our family-led approach, Nazish is supported by her two talented daughters, who contribute to Little Horizons on an as-needed basis. Their passion, experience, and dedication help us create a vibrant, child-centered environment.
👩💼 Areej Khan
Family Engagement & Communication Coordinator
Areej, our elder daughter, is in her final year of undergraduate studies at the University of Saskatchewan, where she also holds a coordination role. With experience supporting childcare programs and strong skills in communication, planning, and family engagement, she plays a key part in building strong parent relationships and ensuring smooth daily operations when called upon.
👩🎨 Abeeha Khan
Early Learning Support Facilitator
Abeeha, our younger daughter, graduated from Bedford Road Collegiate and recently began her undergraduate studies. Her natural rapport with children, creativity, and understanding of play-based learning make her a valuable support to our team. She assists in fostering joyful and age-appropriate experiences for young learners.
Their involvement not only strengthens the sense of community at Little Horizons but also reflects the care, warmth, and continuity that come from a truly family-based childcare environment.

Early Years Educator (Saskatoon, Canada)
Fouzia brings over 10 years of teaching experience from Pakistan and 2 years of hands-on childcare experience in Canada. She holds an ECE Level 1 certification and has a strong foundation in child development, providing high-quality, inclusive, and nurturing learning environments. Known for bridging diverse educational practices, Fouzia effectively integrates teaching approaches from both Pakistan and Canada to support children’s growth and learning. She is a valued contributor to local childcare programs and a dedicated advocate for children’s overall development.

👩💼 Mahjabeen Saqib
Founder & Director, Bright Beginnings Early Learning & Childcare (Karachi, Pakistan)
With more than a decade of experience in early childhood education across Pakistan and Canada, Mahjabeen Saqib is a valued international affiliate of Little Horizons. She began her career as a Montessori-trained educator and pre-primary coordinator in Karachi, where she developed inclusive, play-based curricula and led early learning teams.
Her professional journey has also taken her to Canada, where she connected with licensed childcare providers and engaged in professional development aligned with Saskatchewan’s childcare standards. Mahjabeen holds Canadian certifications in Standard First Aid & CPR/AED and WHMIS 2015, further strengthening her expertise.
Today, she leads Bright Beginnings Early Learning & Childcare, her own home-based childcare in Karachi, Pakistan. Through this partnership, Mahjabeen and Little Horizons share knowledge, practices, and a common philosophy of nurturing little minds, supporting families, and building stronger communities across borders.
👩💼 Farah Abrar
Senior Educator & Program Coordinator, Bright Beginnings Early Learning & Childcare (Karachi, Pakistan)
With more than 20 years of teaching experience in renowned educational institutions in Karachi, Farah brings a wealth of expertise in early learning, curriculum development, and staff mentorship. Passionate about nurturing young minds, she contributes to strengthening Bright Beginnings’ link with global standards in childcare and early education.
